TWO-DAY WORKSHOPS

The New York Film Academy is offering two-day intensive weekend workshops for individuals who want to get quick introductions to filmmaking, acting for film or editing. The two-day, hands-on workshops held on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30am – 6:30 pm, require a total commitment. Students who complete these workshops often return to the Academy for longer courses of study.

Two-Day Weekend Intensive Digital Filmmaking Workshop

This intensive workshop is comprised of digital camera, directing, writing and editing instruction, plus practical production experience. Students will work in crews to complete a short film project that will be screened at the conclusion of the workshop.

Two-day Weekend Acting for Film Workshop

The Two-day Acting for Film Workshop introduces students to acting technique and scene study, and the application of traditional acting methods to acting on film. Each student will act in front of the camera, and that work will be used as a basis for critique and learning.

Two-day Weekend Digital Editing on Final Cut Pro

Students in the Two-day Final Cut Pro Workshop will get a focused introduction to this industry standard software and basic editing concepts, and will have the opportunity to apply techniques and skills to tutorial projects.

4:00-6:30 Editing Lab
Day 2
9:00-12:00 Working with audio on Final Cut Pro.
1:00-4:00 Keyframes, Titles and Basic Effects
4:00-6:30 Edit Lab, Burn projects to DVD.
