“The One to Watch” is Eddie Mariano

Toshiba and the New York Film Academy are proud to announce the winner of the “One to Watch” film competition. NYFA alum, Eddie Mariano came out on top winning a one-year scholarship to continue his education in the Academy’s prestigious film school.

Mariano’s 29 second short did a wonderful job of highlighting all aspects of the technologically innovative REGZA LCD, all while keeping the film light and humorous.

The judging panel consisted of a mix of Toshiba executives as well as NYFA staff. Films were judged based on four major aspects; creativity, use of humor, originality, and relevance.

We are excited to see the film reaching a large audience and we hope this opportunity will continue to open doors for Mariano in the future.
