Published on February 19, 2009

Bevin Prince New York Film AcademyYou may know Bevin from her long-run as ‘Bevin Mirskey’ on the hit CW show One Tree Hill or maybe you caught her on Fox’s House. We know Ms. Prince from our Acting for Film program, where she was ever present as the sweetest girl to deal with, not to mention she could act.

“There are times when you’re in class and a student does a first read, you kind of just have to lean back in your chair a bit to give the student room. You just say, ‘Wow, they’ve got it,’ and Bevin has it,” said New York Film Academy instructor Robert Goodman.

She is currently in a new film titled Redefining Love which you can check out the trailer for below, the film received a limited theatrical release for Valentine’s Day this past weekend:

According to the films Myspace page-

“Redefining Love is the story of the search for the answer to that question. The movie features a hot young cast including Jodie Sweetin (Full House), Serah D’Laine (Wild Things 3), Timothy Woodward Jr. (Whittaker Bay), Bevin Prince (One Tree Hill), and introducing Ryan Small and Jessica Rose Smith.”

Congratulations to NYFA’s Prince(ss), we look forward to speaking with her in the next couple of weeks regarding several of her upcoming projects, life as a working actor and the trials and tribulations of being a young actor in life… Of course, we will have that posted up for you guys here within the next week or two.

Actress, Singer and Musician Tatiana Del Toro has signed on to portray Shikira OT 2933, a key character from the upcoming Star Walker spin off called – ‘Star Walker: Deuteronomy 9’. Below is an interview by Paul Sloan taken October 17th, 2006.

It’s late afternoon and Tatiana has taken an hour break from a heavy shooting schedule (she plays the lead in the Walter Reed directed indie film called Frozen Time), in order to give us an in-depth interview on her acting/singing career, and her exact involvement in Star Walker.

Let’s go back to the beginning for a moment, where and how did you begin your acting career?
I have always loved acting. I think it is such a beautiful and rich form of artistic expression. I was always involved in things that had to do with performing. I had a particular love for songwriting, singing, performing live and film acting. I studied acting all the way from elementary school and high school, to the New York Film Academy. My first film actually started when I met Walter Reed, a very talented director and writer, with big dreams of making his scripts come to life. The movie we are doing right now is called Frozen Time, and it is my first full-length feature. It is and indie action film and it is amazing! The script is wonderfully written and his ideas are powerful and captivating. Hopefully we will be done with that film by next year.
