Script to Screen Filmmaking Conference March 7th in New York
February 19th, 2009 Posted in Film School, News, Screenwriting School
New York-based IFP will relaunch its Script to Screen filmmaking conference after a five-year sabbatical on March 7.
The two-day event will open with a conversation between FilmInFocus CEO James Schamus and Filmmaker Magazine editor Scott Macaulay.
The conference, hosted by the New York Film Academy Film School, will close with a conversation with Lee Daniels, director of the Sundance prize winner “Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire.”
“The landscape for writers has changed so dramatically since the program last took place,” IFP executive director Michelle Byrd said. “There’s a real appetite from a new generation of content creators looking to connect and learn how others in the New York community are finding their niche.”

This is excellent news. I was wondering what happened to this great conference that I attended in the past and found most beneficial.
Bravo!
