The NYFA Blog caught up with promising New York Film Academy Musical Theatre Conservatory student Delia Grace last month. She graciously sat down for an interview with BroadwayWorld.com and wowed us all with her passion for theatre.

Now, Delia is making good on her goals. Below, in the words of NYFA’s Director of Musical Theatre, Broadway vet and acting and audition coach VP Boyle, is the story of Delia’s latest success and the beginning of what promises to be a long and exciting career.

Delia Grace not only got her first job BEFORE graduation with a glorious recommendation (no audition!) by New York Film Academy faculty member and director/choreograper, DJ Salisbury, to understudy the role of Aldonza at Hilton Head starting in a week, she will be getting her Actors’ Equity Association Membership with a little help from our rather handsome Department Chair who called the producer and renegotiated her contract with a ten minute conversation. :-)

The question becomes will Delia book Jersey Boys or Wicked first?

Delia, we are grateful for your kind words about the New York Film Academy in your Broadway World interview and are glad that our school was lucky enough to play a part in your blossoming career. Keep us updated on your adventures!
