Film School Student Min Mei Comments on Her Experience At The New York Film Academy

May 6th, 2009 Posted in Film School

I experienced being a director and an actress in my own films and the films made by my classmates, which was really interesting! I learned to be on time for classes and shoots, to be responsible for other crew members, because that is how I got the same respect from them. Team work is one of the most important aspects of filmmaking. Making films is a very demanding and stressful job which takes an incredible amount of time. But when your films come out and win applause from the audience, your films become a very effective form of self-expression.

I love the teachers and teacher’s assistants of NYFA. They are very, very friendly, helpful, and encouraging! NYFA is a very good and stable film community. I will stay in contact with the people in this community after graduation.
