ACTING & FILM SCHOOL

Here is your chance to receive a $5,000 scholarship to a top film school!  The New York Film Academy is proud to offer anyone interested in pursing a degree in filmmaking the opportunity to win a scholarship to one of their world famous filmmaking programs. The New York Film Academy Online Film Festival is an unique opportunity to showcase your work in extremely high quality streaming video utilizing the most cutting edge encoding technologies. Uploading your films to our Online Festival also give you an opportunity to earn tuition credit toward one of the New York Film Academy’s world-renowned one year film, acting, or animation programs. Prizes are awarded once a month in the following amounts:

1st Place: $5000
2nd Place: $2000
3rd Place: $1000

Winners will be selected by the accomplished filmmakers and industry professionals on the Film Academy’s staff.

Submission Poilicy:

Everyone wishing to attend New York Film Academy is welcomed to submit films. All films must be submitted by the 15th of the month in order to be considered for a prize. Any submissions made after the 15th will be eligible for a prize selection during the following month’s competition. There is no limit to the number of films you may submit, however once a film has been submitted for competition it is not eligible for re-submission.

We accept several commonly used video formats including avi, mp4, and mov. The higher the quality of your upload the higher the quality your video will appear once encoded for streaming from our server. Keeping this in mind, we will not accept any films under 640 pixels wide. Films should be a maximum of 15 minutes in length and your filesize should not exceed 1 Gigabyte.

All films submitted to this site should contain original content and be your own work. Any violations of copyright or attempts to defraud others will result in removal of your video and any prizes earned, in addition to the termination of your account.
